Environmental Impact
Phobits is taking action to reduce our impact to the environment. It takes energy to provide you our services, and to ensure we have a limited impact to the environment we take actions to reduce our energy use. Phobits has some of the best software and systems engineers, but we also have the best facility and environmental engineers too! It is in our interests to reduce costs when possible, but to also look for ways that reduce our environmental impact. Doing so also reduces waste, and reducing waste means reducing costs to you.
Energy Efficient Systems
At Phobits, we know how much energy every electronic component we require uses, and we choose components with lower energy costs. Sometime the cost of the component is higher, but we save money overall by not having to supply larger amounts of energy both to power the component and to cool it. We use lower powered solid-state drives instead of spindle disks where possible. We use lower power processors and memory systems instead of higher-powered system components. Combined with intelligent systems and software design, we still bring you the highest performing services in the industry while we conserve the power we use.
Energy Efficient Facilities Design
Our facilities are also designed to provide the cooling our systems need but at lower costs. Our total facilities savings amounts to more than half the typical cooling required for similar systems.
Electronics Disposal
Our Electronics Disposal policy provides that we recycle 100% of all of our electronics that we dispose of each year. This reduces our environmental impact and lowers the cost of providing our services to you.
Intelligent Systems Design
Phobits works every day to ensure our technologies are the most efficient and state of the art possible so that we can do more with much less. By using modern technologies, much of it that we invent, we are able to reduce our reliance on computing systems, facilities, and energy. Less is more at Phobits, and we use more intelligence to get there.
We're all in this together!
